Intended Learning Outcomes and Assessment

Intended Learning Outcomes and Assessment

This workshop focuses on how to redesign your course based on the learner-centered approach and where/ how to include high level cognition skills. After active discussion of ILOs, participants will practice redesigning ILOs and assessment methods on their own courses.

Also, we will explore various forms of assessment that may improve learner’s motivation and achievement of various types of learning outcomes. We will orient participants towards the fact that “assessment is for learning” and not only of learning. It promotes lifelong learning.

Using online tools to assess lower and higher order skills in higher education; the workshop will cover rubric design for various kind of assessment activities.
